I've been using Zoneminder for about 5 years, mainly with Foscam IP cameras. A few days ago I acquired a Foscam C2 (2 MP) IP camera and I've been trying unsuccessfully to have it work with Zondeminder 1.29.0 under the SNAPSHOT mode, that is, taking a snapshot with the camera every few seconds, with this URL:

http://HOSTNAME:PORT/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=USER&pwd=PASSWORD

I can see the snapshot on my web browser correctly, but this doesn't seem to work with Zoneminder. I use this mode successfully with all the other Foscam cameras, such as FI9803p (which uses the exact same URI), but not with C2.

The only difference with FI9803p, as far as I can see, is that it has a 1 MP resolution, against 2 MP of C2. Both snapshot images have the same color depth (24 bits).

I appreciate your support on this. If you need more info on my setup, screen captures, and so, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem with Foscam IP Camera
I have 4 Foscam Camera : 1 x FI9803P V3, 2 x FI9821W V2, 1 x C1

I use the snapshot mode, I can see the snapshot on a browser of all the cameras

On ZoneMinder :
I can only see the picture of the C1 and one of the FI9821W
I can't see the picture of the FI9803 and the second FI9821W

I have try a lot of things, I have reset the camera to default parameters

To get a single snapshot from a zoneminder camera stream,
Try a URL like this: notice mode=single in the URL and the monitor= the correct camera.

I have a number of Foscam Cams. The old one I use the method that you are showing, but the new Foscam Cams is setup with ffmpeg, and that works very nice. May I suggest you to use ffmpeg as a test!

Be aware that depending on your Linux dist. there may be issues with the ffmpeg implementation. Works 100% with Ubuntu 16 and RedHat clones
Note that using ffmpeg requires more CPU muscles!
