Hi!
I have installed zoneminder and added the cam.
The cam is Hikvision DS-2CD2012-I is not viewed. I see controls, but don't see image.

In the log I see the errors:

2016-10-13 23:15:05.318068 web_php 2681 ERR socket_sendto( /var/run/zm/zms-597163s.sock ) failed: No such file or directory /usr/share/zoneminder/www/includes/functions.php 1993

2016-10-13 23:15:02.311908 web_js 1302 ERR getStreamCmdResponse stream error: socket_bind( /var/run/zm/zms-597163w.sock ) failed: Address already in use - checkStreamForErrors() ?view=watch

What does mean and how can I fix?

Linux version and the instructions you used, please.

Ubuntu 14.04, instruction from official site.

I am not sure but it seems that quite some people have issues on Ubuntu 14.04

I installed ZM on Ubuntu 16.04 and I had no problem at all.

Actually I feel that Ubuntu 14.04 works better than 16.04. Yes, there are differences in the way programs start but there seem to be fewer "things" starting up in 14.04...

Go into Options and look at the Paths tab. Ensure PATH_ZMS is /zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms and not the default /cgi-bin/nph-zms
