Just saw a notice that after some number of failed login attempts, I needed to enter in a captcha. I use a password manager, so there are never any mistaken authentications when logging in. Is the forum under attack? Just my account? Bug in the forum code?

IP just changed but that shouldn't impact and nothing I have seen like this

Yup happened to me too - but I logged in after responding to the captcha (login failed before that, and I too use a password manager to auto populate, so it couldn't have been wrong)

Me too, had to sort distros...

And a "me too" -- got logged out due to a browser restart at my end, and was immediately confronted with "Too many login attempts" -- even though this was the first visit to forum in about 24 hours, and credentials pre-filled by login manager in FireFox.

Same thing here....get "Too many login attempts" and then captcha challenge despite entering valid credentials. Luckily, I can login once answering captcha challenge.

Infrastructure changes maybe impacting cookies? Did it stop once you did the captcha? Sorry about that but spammers went a bit nuts earlier in the year so had to implement captchas and other means to stop the ****ers.

It hasn't stopped for me. Asks for captcha on every login.

Infrastructure configuration issue, fixed now, let us know if still getting it all the time.
