Clean install of 1.3 on Ubuntu resulted in Blue Screen in ZM console

Hi there,

I recently performed a clean install of my home server, I installed Ubuntu Server 16.10 and followed the ZM Ubuntu install guide. Since doing this three of the Tenvis IP cameras that were previously working int 1.28/Debian (for the last two years) now just show a bright blue screen. The two USB cameras and one other IP camera are working fine. I've tried just having one camera running to eliminate a resource issue but still get the same. The shared memory is nice and high so at a loss as to what else to try. The cameras work fine when connecting directly to their web interface.

Any suggestions?

If you want a good answer, we need real, quantitative data.

For starters, tell us:
- model of Tenvis cameras in question
- show us the general and source tabs of your camera config. Screenshots are preferred.
- what does your zoneminder log say? It certainly says something. More is better. A full page of events would be nice.

Check your Options::Path::PATH_ZMS setting. Should be /zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms. Also, blue screen could be an indication of bad resolution of a mistake in the path to the camera.

The Options::Path::PATH_ZMS setting does not need to be changed for Ubuntu 16.10.

You did not say what instructions you followed but you may want to check these:

The blue screen may be caused by incorrect video resolution settings.
