Installation Issue

Post by cwalins »

I am installing ZoneMinder on a laptop PC, with a Intel Core i3 processor and Ubuntu 16.04, 64 bit installed. I am using the instructions "Ubuntu Server 16.04 64-bit with Zoneminder 1.29.0 the easy way". After logging in as superuser I run atp-get update, then upgrade, and then dist-upgrade. These appear to run without problem. I then enter "rm /etc/mysql/my.cnf" and get the message "rm: cannot remove '/etc/mysql/my.cnf': No such file or directory". I have tried this three (3) times with the same result. What am I doing wrong?

From the instructions:

Ubuntu Desktop: You will have to install tasksel in a terminal (sudo apt-get install tasksel) then run tasksel to install OpenSSH Server, and LAMP Server.

Thanks, I missed that in the instructions.
