zmfilter ERR Can't execute filter 'SELECT E.Id,#012

Hello,
i do get this error message when my filter is executed:
Code: Select all
Feb 5 14:29:06 SERVER zmfilter[6229]: ERR [Can't execute filter 'SELECT E.Id,#012 E.MonitorId,#012 M.Name as MonitorName,#012 M.DefaultRate,#012 M.DefaultScale,#012 E.Name,#012 E.Cause,#012 E.Notes,#012 E.StartTime,#012 unix_timestamp(E.StartTime) as Time,#012 E.Length,#012 E.Frames,#012 E.AlarmFrames,#012 E.TotScore,#012 E.AvgScore,#012 E.MaxScore,#012 E.Archived,#012 E.Videoed,#012 E.Uploaded,#012 E.Emailed,#012 E.Messaged,#012 E.Executed#012 FROM Events as E#012 INNER JOIN Monitors as M on M.Id = E.MonitorId#012 where not isnull(E.EndTime) and ( E.Length = 00:00:00 ) order by E.Id asc', ignoring: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ':00:00 ) order by E.Id asc' at line 25]
I tried changing the length from '00:00:00' to 00:00:00 and with \: but always the same. Basically I just want to delete events with a null duration. Not sure why they get recorded though but at least I wanted to clean those.
Any idea of the right config to get this working? and potentially of what is causing null duration events?
Merci
Xavier

Here is an example of what I am seeing.I assume I can tweak ZM to have one event per hour? What are these events based on? If the duration is 00 does it mean like that during x number of minutes not detection was done (Cameras with VBR) so nothing has been recorded since the previous file? That seems strange to me.

Duration should be simply "0" w/o quotes.

Oh, and a common reason for null events are an inability to write to the disk. Is the disk full? Are the right permissions set? Is the disk slow/failing? You need to look in your log for clues.

Hi Knnniggett
1/ Thanks this was the issue, now I see:
Feb 5 21:08:16 SERVER zmfilter[12641]: INF [Scanning for events using filter '_TempFilter1486325295']
2/ As the previous, screenshot the disks correctly accessible (it was a 69% and now is at 96%). I do have the other filter "PurgeWhenFull" kicking at 95% with the oldest 100 events to be deleted so normally the disk is never full.
3/ As per the log, I did put as documented in the wiki (
http://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/sta ... ogging.png) but the file in /var/log/zm is empty and I don't have logs in the web page (even it is orange). I do believe I may have an issue there but I was thinking this was stored in the db rather than the file. At least I do get the logs in syslog correctly and don't see anything strange. Should I be looking at another place?

PS: I have opened this other thread (maybe on the wrong section) and I don't have much luck with insights. Anyway idea at least on Question 1?
