After a couple of days poking and prodding, I finally got the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 working with ZoneMinder 1.29.0 on Debian Jessie. The magic combination to add the monitor source is attached.

I wasn't able to get it working in 1920x1080 unfortunately... It's currently working at 10FPS, but this may be more due to my limited hardware (P4/1gig) than the camera.

This camera supports H264 (through V4L2), but the current ZoneMinder code doesn't support H264 for local (V4L1\V4L2) cameras.
After support for H264 capture palette is added, you should be able to capture at 1080p.
