I had to downgrade to under 3.x for my cam to work.

You can also try and enable authentication.

Does the cam work in VLC?

Yes, in VLC cam works on 3.5.0.62. I tired also downgrade cam to 3.1.4.39 but zm&vlc doesnt work
rtsp on 3.1.4.39 rtsp://hostname:554/live/ch00_0 is correct?

I need to enable authentication to make sure it works? Because i don't see that option in www interface on 3.1.3.39

I have an older camera. Mine works only with 1.x firmware. But there seems to be a lot of information in ubnt forums about 3.x and zoneminder.

I searched all the topics and found nothing that could help me. In my opinion zoneminder should try more to support the cameras of different manufacturers. Wiki instructions are outdated. My camera at this time is useless

Try adding something like 5 to the three FPS fields.

Open the stream in vlc and check the tools->codec values. Sometimes there are two different sets of pixel values. Use the biggest.

Make sure you stopped vlc before trying with ZM. Operation now in progress indicates port busy (?).

You can try opening the stream with ffmpeg directly. Might give you a better error message.

Set a simple password on the cam and try connecting with that.

Is there any firwall playing into this?

If everything fails, you can try using live555proxy.
