Hikvision Camera

Hello guys,

I've tried to add a Hikvision camera and followed exactly the instrunctions from the ZoneMinder Wiki, but nothing is working. I also tried several methods and implementation ways. Also nothing is working.

My camera is Hikvision. Model : DS-2CD2042WD-I , Firmware Version: V5.4.5 build 170124

I tried the following:
In General Tab: source type: ffmpeg
In Source Tab: source path: I tried : rtsp://user:pass@169.254.57.168:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=101&subtype=0?tcp
also rtsp://admin:tt71786144@169.254.57.168/Streaming/Channels/1

Capture width and height as in camera config.

I haven't changed anything in the camera configurations. Also nothing is working. When i open the camera stream from zoneminder i got nothing.

PS: i tried to add the stream using VLC media player and it worked.

Linus distro and version? What instructions did you use to install Zoneminder?

I've seen a camera say one resolution on its web portal, but have another resolution on the stream. You should use the resolution that VLC or the web browser uses.

Is there anything in the logs about connecting? Try a different camera? Is there a user manual for the camera? Have you tried the paths in the ispyconnect database?
