Laptop webcam as security camera

Is there a way to have a process on my laptop that turns the webcam into a security camera that I can activate remotely and sends the video feed to my zoneminder server ?

Yes. If you are running Linux, then mjpeg-streamer might be the thing. Of course you can also just run zm on the laptop as well.

If it's windows, there are lots of shareware apps that share the webcam that ZM can read from.
