ZM 1.30.4 Unable to display monitor Logitech C370

Post by DaveV »

Hi
Got so frustrated with this I now have a clean install of UBUNTU 16.04 to which I have added SSH and SAMBA before doing a clean install of Zoneminder.
I add the camera and monitor name/function/source is all in green! When I click name to see the picture I get a icon with the monitor name against it and no picture.

I have tried Local to the C270 and remote to the C270 using mjpg_streamer (not at the same time!).

As I get green for both as if ZM is getting a picture I wonder if I am missing something to display it via apache?

Streamer is producing a good picture
./mjpg_streamer -i "./input_uvc.so -f 15 -r 640x480 -y " -o "./output_http.so -w ./www"

Hi - sorry typo - yes I have "/?action=stream" when using mjpg-streamer - exactly the same though as direct - all in green in Zoneminder but clicking on the name to look on the feed is empty. ALSO - I am looking at ZM both remotely from a windows PC (firefox and chrome) going to 192.168.1.nn/zm and using VNC to the server and using Firefox to localhost/zm same result. Green status and no video to see.

did you set the correct path to the /cgi-bin in Options->Paths->PATH_ZMS so it looks like this:

Code: Select all

/zm/cgi-bin/nph-zms
Incorrect paths will prevent the stream views from working

Looks like another case of failing to read the instructions! For the install and the forum to post in!

Hi - Thanks people. Missed the PD stuff at the bottom and did not have the /zm/ at the start of the path. Basically googled straight to the Ubuntu easy install and stopped at "Installation complete" did not pass "Harder Way:"
