API Problems

hello all,
my first post here,

just recently setup a zoneminder system for 2 cameras (standard analog style cams) using a industrial style pc powered dvr unit.

i am using debian 9 stretch,

i was running zoneminder 1.30.4 and tried today to update to 1.32, the update seemed to work ok after a little messing with packages but i cannot for the life of me get the api to work, the main zoneminder webpage works as does all functions on their including cameras etc but zmninja will not connect and says auth ok api not available or something similar.

anyone got any clue what to do here,

im not scared of a bit of linux command line work as ive dealt with linux a lot over the years.

ZoneMinder 1.32.x is not available yet in the official Debian repos.

Where exactly did you install ZoneMinder 1.32.0 from?

We just had a user try to use the ZoneMinder 1.32.0 from deb-multimedia. The package in that repo is broken.

We are coordinating with the official zoneminder package maintainer for Debian, and a working 1.32.0 package will be available soon.
Alternatively, you can build your own deb following the instructions in our readthedocs.

yes i do believe it was deb multimedia. ill look at building my own deb

EDIT: rebuild from scratch fixed issue and a couple of other issues also it seems
