Hello. Trying to install Zoneminder with either Ubuntu 18.04 or 16.04, and failing to add repositories
add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder
add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-1.32
Both fail.
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:~iconnor/ubuntu/zoneminder'.
ERROR: '~iconnor' user or team does not exist.
root@ubuntu:~# add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-1.32
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:~iconnor/ubuntu/zoneminder-1.32'.
ERROR: '~iconnor' user or team does not exist.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Brian
Can't add repositories for Ubuntu 18.04
Re: Can't add repositories for Ubuntu 18.04
Please disregard. It's working now. Not sure why.
Re: Can't add repositories for Ubuntu 18.04
Hi,
Glad to hear that you have it working. This may not be an issue for you, but to share an experience that I had. I noticed, that when I was trying to get the PPA installed, checking the ppa policy command, that I had zoneminer-132 and one called zoneminder-master. As a result, I ended up with the Beta version of 1.33. You can check with zmc -v to see what version that you are running. Reverting back from 1.33 to 1.32 was easy as uninstalling zoneminder, remove the master then install again with the script
Thanks
JC
