Improving motion detection

Hi there! I finally have my ZoneMinder up ad running… great!

The only problem is… i configured motion detection very badly. I get an alarm for every weather/lightning change and i often do not get any alarm for moving people/animals.

I have read the docs about the settings, yet i don't know how to fine tune the numbers. Is there any tool to replay recorded videos with different motion detection settings and see the new effect? Also, is there a seting to tell ZM to detect moving objects instead of statically glowing ones?

Start with the predefined settings and then tweak. Working with percentages rather than pixels also seems easier.

These things just take time.
