Hi,

It does not say it explicitly anywhere in the zmninja documentation, but am I correct in thinking that for notifications to work any camera needs to be in Modect function?

Correct. Needs to be in either modect or mocord (maybe even nodect, if you trigger events externally). ZM needs to be in a mode where it is doing motion detection, which it does not do in record or monitor mode.
