Installation on openSUE Leap 15 not showing events

All,

I have installed ZoneMinder-MP 1.32.3-9.1 from http://www.liquid-co.de/pub/suse/repositories/15.0/ and ffmpeg from Packman (http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packm ... Leap_15.0/)
It seems to work correctly initially however I have configured a zone and created events but I cannot view the event. I get the error message

Code: Select all

The video could not be loaded, either the server or network failed or because the format is not supported

in the video view window.

Digging into this I found that for all the events I only get a snapshot.jpg image nothing else:

Next within the logs I found the error

ZoneMinder was not compiled with the X264 MP4 video writer, check dependencies (x264 and mp4v2)

Something tells me that not being able to view events, only having one image file for the event and the given error are related.

Can someone help me to get "viewable" events. I am just stuck and lack the understanding where things go wrong.

My mistake.

Under Monitor tab Storage one should select to save jpegs and select a video writer. Once you've done that you will see images and video's
