StorageAreas and Path/URL

[DVB Hardware]

I am trying to add a drive in Options > Storage. I have searched for info with no resolve
If someone has a info page or steps to use this method which is supposed to be the easiest

I tried adding "/media/jimmy/f3f43c64-e386-46fb-be2c-92aa1bcd74d3"
Zoneminder shows diskspace 0 of 0 for a 500GB drive

URL I guess is for a off site / cloud storage

Yeah for a local drive you leave the Url blank. The most important part is that path element...

The 0 of 0 is inforamative... could be a permissions problems... or a typo.

ZM runs as the web suer, www-data on ubuntu. www-data needs to have read/write permissions on the place where you have mounted the 500GB drive.

so maybe:
sudo chown www-data -R /media/jimmy/f3f43c64-e386-46fb-be2c-92aa1bcd74d3

Got it working
It was not part of the www-data which I changed but did not help
but the drive kept saying unmounted which I thought was mounted since I could access it
I needed to got to "disks" and set auto mount at start up for the 500gb drive
The correct path for storageareas drive info is
/mnt/f3f43c64-e386-46fb-be2c-92aa1bcd74d3 NOT /media/jimmy/f3f43c64-e386-46fb-be2c-92aa1bcd74d3

Storage info zoneminder is now
NewStorage /mnt/f3f43c64-e386-46fb-be2c-92aa1bcd74d3 local Medium 23.37GB of 457.45GB
