Zoneminder event reset - disk failure

I've searched to find a procedure on resetting events after a disk failure.

I run several zoneminder systems, some with raid10 and others with raid0.

Regardless, let say you have a storage failure.. zoneminder and the db are intact but all the storage side content is gone. What next?

Basically, how do you push the reset button with regard to stored events and video/images?

I believe zmaudit will cleanup all the inconsistencies but it was disabled in options -> system. I re-enabled it. Is it standard practice to have zmaudit disabled by default? I'm running 1.33.16
