I'm seeing the same here, even with 1.35.7~20200929150307.
I'm a ZoneMinder happy user for years, always running on debian or ubuntu server.
Last couple of years, used 1.32 on a 18.04 LTS, and was very stable.

This week, I updated to 20.04 LTS and discovered I had to upgrade ZM too... So I took a big step forward and put the latest version.
Lots of changes !!

I can see the events only when I store them on the server in H264 (either passthrough or convert, depending on cameras capacities). When I was on the JPEG Frames + Analysis, couldn't even read the event.
But still, the preview isn't working when I mouse over the thumbnail. I see the first frame and get your errors in the log.

The live preview in the console works though !

I've tried and checked the logs, all I could find is that the .lock file is created but the .sock file fails. Tried to change the shm directory to a dedicated one, with broad permissions (www-data, 777), didn't change a thing. Got lots of space there too.

Next step, I'm gonna disable the JPG storage, and see if the preview starts working ?
