Unable to get motion detection working with latest builds

Since I updated to zoneminder_1.35.26~20210417125040-bionic, motion detection has not worked at all. I see no error messages in the log. Everything else works normally. I updated to zoneminder_1.35.26~20210417163214-bionic and I see the same thing.
I did a fresh install on my test machine with the latest build and I still could not get motion detection to work.
I downgraded back to zoneminder_1.35.26~20210413091429-bionic and everything is back to normal.
Has anyone else seen this?

Yes ! I also have the same problem in ,focal & bionic versions

I did a big rewrite on how zones are loaded etc, using modern c++ concepts. It is entirely possible that I broke it. I'll go look.

The fix didn't work for me in Zoneminder-master latest 1.35.26~20210419131933-focal & bionic

Using the 'update manager' on Linuxmint 20.1 I just updated to zoneminder_1.35.26~20210419170703-focal and modect now works fine once again.

Yes ! The "modect " is OK in the latest Zoneminder master 1.35.26~20210419170703-focal , released today.
Thanks a lot for fixing the problem .
