Droidcam as a camera

Post by hornetster »

Has anyone successfully connected an android phone running droidcam?
Assume it shouldn't be too difficult as it's just an HTTP connect...

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
After a solution using wifi. Have it working.

Code: Select all

Source Type : Remote
Method : Simple
Host Name : IPAddress
Port : 4747 (Think that's the default?)
Path (to force resolution) : /video/force/1920x1080
Thanks.

I know this is an Old Post but I thought you might be interested in this.
Years ago I ran an Android software that turns your cell camera into an IP camera.
I don't remember the name but it was a popular one.
I tested it on a Wi-Fi network with zoneminder and it worked great.

Then I decided that I wanted to be able to use my phone how to record video from my cell camera to zoneminder while on the cell network.

I had a VPN server in my network so I put openvpn on my cell phone and whenever I started the IP camera program it recorded on my server back at my house.
