Event was not found and navigation

When skipping through events using the previous and next buttons under the video itself I often and up at a page which states:
Event was not found.
I have not fully troubleshooted this issue but I would like to have the navigation buttons on the page (with "Event was not found") so that I can try to go (back) to the next or previous event.
The eid in the url is 0 btw.
At the current state I am stuck on this page I cannot go to the previous/next event page because scrolling between events is not stored in the browser history and there are no event navigation buttons in the current UI.
