Hi,
Since i upgrade version 1.35 to 1.36.5 and after that 1.36.8 i have an issue with video capturing. It looks like if there is a capture in the storage location but the file is very small and gives an error that the video can not be loaded ........
Older mp4's can be played without any problem and ofcourse the capturing was working fine on the previous version. I think an important setting in an config is overwritten but i can't figure out which one. All the rest works fine except storing the captured video's from my cams.
Searched for many days for a solution but i can't find a suitable.
I am on CENTOS 7.9.2009 and hope that some can push me in the right direction to solve this problem

You’re in remote? Try Ffmpeg.

No that cam is in Ffmpeg.
After some trial and error the status now is that i have a mp4 file which is still very small (222K) almost the size of the jpeg captures.
That mp4 file i can play but only outside ZM. Inside same error as before video can not be loaded ........
Tried a change in the source and switched in the storage tab "Output codec" and "encoder" both from auto to h264. Then there wasn't a mp4 file at all but i could play back the detected movement within ZM. I am not very familiar with this kind of stuff so you can imagine that i didn't understand this.

Do you want to decode? Use passthrough.

Before the upgrade to 1.36 i had a stable system for years. Now after the upgrade i run into this trouble. Do you have any idea why? I mean what is changed compared to previous version?

Slews of changes. Almost 2.0 version.
A few memory leaks most of which have been fixed. Right NOW the dev version is much better on my machines. But you probably don’t want to use it yet because it breaks often.

Your solution did it. Everything normal again.
Conclusion: The auto mode on encoder and output codec don't work as it should be after the upgrade.
Are you involved in the development of ZM?

Only to the extent of running the development version when it’s not fatally broken. And sending money from time to time.

Yeah auto might have been a mistake. Should have defaulted to h264.
