No RTSP sources.
No RTSP sources.
I have had zm running on Lubuntu for 3 or 4 years with no problems. This was installed from a Lubuntu Live CD (I think bbunge was the author) It was based on Ubuntu_Server_14.04_64-bit_with_Zoneminder_1.29.0. I have 8 Icam2 cameras on a DellT3500 4 core, 8 threads, 12 gb RAM. I just did a Kubuntu 20.04 and Zoneminder 1.36 install on the same machine. I copied all my cameras and all their settings into the new zm install, and and I don't get any video at all. The log keeps telling me - NO RTSP sources. - All the settings are the same as they were for the last 3 years on the Lubuntu zm 1.29. Any ideas? I read the forums for hours with no luck. The cameras show up on VLC using rtsp://192.168.1.xxx/img/media.sav but zm 1.36 is unable to see / read the rtsp stream. I'm stuck. I've spent hours trying to sort this out and trying different settings but nothing seems to work.
Re: No RTSP sources.
You need to upgrade the database after importing it: zmupdate.pl
This may not work unless you took a dump, backup, of the old zm database before you wiped the old install.
Sorry but I have not kept up with the ready to go disk. The install from the WIKI is dead simple: https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Serv ... der_1.36.x

Re: No RTSP sources.
I'm not so sure that's workable without some tweaks. Nor have I seen that error.
However, you probably want server none and source type Ffmpeg and of course the function of your choice on the general tab.
If that's not it, maybe screenshots of the general, source, and storage tabs would give us something...if running zmupdate doesn't get it.
