almost all of my cameras now support H.265.. which when enabled has a nicer picture at half the hard drive space.
the issue is, once enabled, zoneminder no longer allows you to watch saved events or scrub multiple events.
which is the only reason to use zoneminder..

it would be nice if h.265 was implemented, even as a plugin.

It is funny, that it is possible to watch (h.265 camera) events using "Montage Review" view, but not directly from camera's event list.

There is a codec dropdown in the header. Choose mjpeg for it. You can set the default value for this in Monitor->Misc

I am working on and have a proof of concept for decoding the h265 in javascript. However no one is funding this work, so it doesn't get done.

mjpeg doesnt work for me, it gives me a gray picture with a ton of noise. like an old tv with no input.

i imagine this project takes a ton of your time, i hope you can figure a way to implement it sometime.

More people funding the project would speed things up.
