Problem clicking to a specific spot during event playback
Problem clicking to a specific spot during event playback
I'm currently using 1.36.32, but this problem has persisted for me through several previous versions of 1.36 (and maybe even earlier). I did not have this problem with versions from about 3-4 years ago.
My cameras are in MOCORD recording at 10 min event intervals. During event playback, there is a playback progress bar (for lack of a better description) at the bottom that highlights detected motion in red. I can not click to anything early in the playback within about the first 2 minutes 20 seconds, it will simply go to the end of the recording. I can click to any point in the playback after about 2 minutes 20 seconds without issue. This is frustrating because if motion is detected at about the 2 minute mark, I have to wait the full 2 minutes to see it, I can't click ahead to right before the motion detection. If I do, it goes to the very end of the recording. Is this a known issue? Is there a work around?

Not a known issue. I reworked a lot of that code in master... might be interesting to see if it does it. I reworked it because it was kinda broken so it may be that I have not merged something back to 1.36.

FWIW, I'm not seeing this. I'm curious about your record settings, because I HAVE seen it, but fixed by changing record settings. Or so as I recall - it's been awhile.
And you are talking about recordings made by the current version ZM, not some old recording, I trust.

Yeah, sorry about that - Storage tab for the camera/monitor. Video Writer
Some cams seem to not work well with camera passthrough. One of mine is Encode, Auto, libx264 for e.g.

Re: Problem clicking to a specific spot during event playback
Save .jpgs is useful for reviewing zone settings. You can turn that off or just to anlaysis images only.
Then turn on encoding with auto auto - that will enable your timestamp to be recorded.
Also, while it's not supposed to cause problems, it seems to help to remove those comments above crf=36
Let it run awhile and see what you get.
BTW, I'm not sure how long, if ever, it takes debug settings to get read, but a restart does it.

In optional params, just "crf=23" no quotes
Options->Config has EVENT_CLOSE_MODE time ?
