I would like to get the PTZ to work with zoneminder and stumbled across this https://open.imoulife.com/book/http/dev ... vePTZ.html

Is this what is needed to edit some file in a directory to get it to work? I read in the readthedocs about editing a script file to get ptz working.

There is http://192.168.XX.XXX/onvif/ptz_service address on the camera.

Anyone know if that link has the info necessary for me to edit or make a script or am I wasting my time? I am not a super genius, don't want to spend 2 days to end up with nada.

The zoneminder can get the camera feed with this address rtsp://admin:SAFTEY_CODE@192.168.XX.XX:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif

Have a look at the existing scripts. Grep through that directory for a few commands. Use the script that contains the most of them as a basis.

There is a control script I would like to try, its onvifSoap.pm https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminde ... vifSoap.pm

I did wget and put into into the directory with the others, it has the same permissions. After reading a bit I need to add sql db entry using a tool--> zmcamtool.pl --import somefile

Any idea how I put this https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminde ... 3195/files in using zmcamtool.pl --import

Well I am just about ready to give up anyways. Not a big deal really, just need a extra app on the phone that can do the ptz stuff. The Android app called Onvier can operate the ptz on this camera. Its 11MB has 1 tracker (Google AdMob) and 12 permissions which all seem to me to be reasonable. It runs on my phone which does not have play store or google framework services. Cheers
