NYC DOT Real Time Traffic

Post by mikeyjoel »

Hi ZoneMinders! Hope you are all doing great!

I was wondering if anyone had the experience of connecting already published live streams of cameras from a site like https://nyctmc.org/cameras-list to ZoneMinder just to have an all in one app. The reasoning behind this is because 2 of the cameras they have listed there are close to where I live and I would like to have my personal cameras and those streamed from that site on my own server.

You can probably use the source type Web Site . . .
Never tried it myself, though.

Been there done that, then mine changed to TIMS mqtt. But yeah, you can with that current setup they use.
Set up a libCurl https source and find the camera you want (ditch everything in the query (&t=....)). I set the resolution to the true source resolution on the test 352x240

Here is the url test source for an example:

Code: Select all

https://nyctmc.org/api/cameras/eafc65f5-6ff9-4203-905f-3995b9fbc9eb/image
Keep in mind that that generated camera id may change. But it works now, updating every two seconds.
