Run motion detection on a saved video clip

I have a video clip recorded last night that contains motion but it wasn't detected. I'm sure my zone settings aren't properly tuned for the type of motion I'm expecting in this zone. But I'm not sure how to fix it, short of trial and error (making changes and then waiting for motion to happen again) and that could take many days to get right.
Is there any way to change the zone and then run the motion detection for that zone on the saved video from last night? If I could test the zone settings on-demand using a clip that I know where the motion happens, I could try out many different settings and hopefully find one that gets the motion without false positives. This would be a much faster and more reliable method than changing and waiting.
