Hello people,
I am new in this. I just installed ZoneMinder on my PC with Linux Mint and I would like someone to point me to some tutorial where i can find how to access remotely to my camera. Should I make server (and how?) or there is another way to do that? Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Robert
Help with server
Re: Help with server
Once you can see ZM from another computer on your network you can open a port in your firewall to the outside and connect from anywhere.
You will need to have a way to find home. I created an account with a free DDNS service, and I use that domain name to get home.
Is that the type of information you are looking for?

May I ask which one, and has it been reliable?I created an account with a free DDNS service, and I use that domain name to get home.
Re: Help with server
I use duckdns.org. They have been reliable.
I have setup my firewall to maintain the address, I have no experience with their utility.

OK, thanks.
Re: Help with server
One common way to access your cameras remotely is by setting up port forwarding on your router. You'll need to forward the appropriate ports to your PC running ZoneMinder. Just make sure to do this securely and consider using a VPN or changing the default port for added security.
