Suspect not enough memory allocated for the Kodicomm 8800 capture card
I have a robust Lenovo P710 server (Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4, 16GB ram) with one Kodicomm 8800 video capture card. I've installed ZM 1.36.33 on Debian 12 Bookworm. The ZM is working fine, except I'm have a problem with tearing video that has moment in it. When I set the video size 320X240 on the cameras, there is no problem. When I set them for 640X480 I get the tearing in live video. I suspect I have to change the allocated memory in ZM to correct the problem, but don't know how to do this. Any help you could give me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Keith

Check Maximum Image Buffer Size (frames) (?) - 0 is unlimited. AFAIK, that's all you can do, although there may be something specific to your card that can be adjusted, maybe in a config file.

Tear is not caused by image buffers.
It has been about 4 years since I last had my kodicom 8800, so I can't remember what settings worked well with it.
From memory, it was a good card that could do a decent frame rate. I suggest playing with multi buffering and captures per frame settings.
