only some of camera's ONVIF events captured as ZM events?

Good news: I can now get some "alarms" noticed by Amcrest camera to be
signalled via ONVIF to be recognized by ZM. Bad news: only some!

[Versions: Ubuntu 24.04, ZM 1.37.61]
Here's my ONVIF configuration for the monitor:

Here's a list of events as maintained by the camera:

and here is the ZM list:

the careful observer will notice the time stamps on the ZM events are
before any of those in the Amcrest alarms; that's because the Amcrest
list refreshes everytime you login.

looking thru the monitor's log i see some lines like
07/05/24 11:54:38.618399 zmc_m2[21316].WAR-zm_monitor_amcrest.cpp/83 [AMCREST Seeing 0 streams, and error of 0, url: USER:PW@IPNumber:443/onvif/device_service/eventManager.cgi?action=attach&codes=[VideoMotion]]
that SEEM to correspond (sometimes?) to the events ZM does see; should
there always be a log entry?

At first it seemed like ZM was noticing only "beginning" events, ie
considering the event to be ongoing? This made me wonder what the
"Continuous" word means in the ZM events listing?

I've been trying to use
[libonvif](https://github.com/sr99622/libonvif) library to watch
events, but haven't figured out how to do that. (if anyone else is
using these `onvif-gui` and `onvif-util` tools i'd be curious what
VERSION is working for you.)

Any ideas why only some events are being noticed by ZM? Any ideas
about how to debug further?

Continuous events are events that occur because you told it to record all the time. They are not triggered by onvif.

I would say that onvif events are not working.

where am i telling this to happen?
They are not triggered by onvif.
then what would be triggering them? i have turned off all analysis.

and how about the monitor logs: what (if not onvif events) would be generating these lines?

just found the EVENT_CLOSE_MODE documentation; i think that answers my 'continuous recording' question.

and it's seeming the AMCREST log posts are just on startup, announcing the camera connection.
