Elliptical, triangular and trapezoid zones...

Post by lazyleopard »

This is one for the back burner. I'm sure it will make things difficult, given that the frame is rectangular and the pixels are all in nice rows, but the views through my cameras seldom conform to nice neat rectangles. A couple of major sources of false triggering in my monitors are triangular zones in the corners. My current zones include several inactive ones forming step-like lines to approximate the ideal diagonal.

I think that rather than allow different shape zones, a much easier general case is just to allow zones to be defined as bitmaps, so you can create a zone map in whatever graphics package you want and then apply that.

That's been on the to-do list for a while. I should get around to having another look at it I think.

Yep, that would do the job even better. ;)
