Hello Everyone,
Since I've only recently started using ZoneMinder, I would appreciate some guidance on how to best adjust the camera settings for my configuration. I now own a variety of cameras, both indoor and outdoor, and I want to be sure I'm receiving the finest image quality and performance for monitoring and surveillance.
In particular, I've been playing with different resolutions, frame rates, and compression settings using a few different models, such as [insert camera models if appropriate]. I'm not totally clear, though, which arrangements are most effective in various situations. For instance, is it desirable to have a greater frame rate for indoor cameras to record quick movements or should I prioritise higher resolution for outside cameras that cover bigger areas?
I've also observed some difficulties with motion detection. Occasionally, external circumstances like passing cars or swaying trees cause me to get too many false positives. Any advice on how to adjust the motion detection settings to lessen these occurrences would be greatly appreciated. Have you discovered any particular filters or settings to be especially useful?
Last but not least, I would be delighted to hear suggestions for plugins or integration choices that could improve ZoneMinder's capabilities! Thanks in advance for your help and support.
Regards
Daisysalesforce
