i setup ffmpeg

but still its staying on pics and no video even after i changed the options to mpeg????

any help ?

What version of ZoneMinder?
On what distribution?
What browser are you using to view?
Any errors in any of your error logs?

im using verision Version ---> 1.19.2

and i setup the cameras and get the jpeg images
but i also installed ffmpeg
its not streaming any video?
is there any help on how to stream video in INTERNET EXPLORER????

options are set to ASF extension and i did try mpeg
i hear of people using windows media to view the video ?
how can they do this i mean where does it stream from ?

maybe im missing somehting from the install ?

Can't locate MIME/Entity.pm in @INC

This whould mean possible that you need the Perl Module MIME.

The really easy way to install perl modules is just using

perl -MCPAN -eshell

as detailed in the README. It will (if you configure it thus) automatically follow and resolve any dependencies and once you've done the initial one-off config installing the module you need would just involve you typing

install MIME::Entity

It's definately worth a try.

I've done the upgrade now to the latest version but still yet have i been able to get streaming video?

What exact program is used for streaming video ?
i've got ffmpeg and berkleys mpeg enconder installed?

is there something else i need....Where does the streaming video come from ?
how to you open the streaming video?

Hi Jay,

The key things to get streaming video (rather than streaming mpjpegs with Cambozola), are

1) That ZM is built with the ffmpeg libraries. So you need to make sure ffmpeg was installed before running 'configure'. If not then rerun configure and check the output, you should see references to libavcodec and libavformat. Another way to check is to look in config.h for HAVE_LIBAVFORMAT and HAVE_LIBAVCODEC, these should be 1 if you have those libraries and they were found by configure.

2) Assuming ZM is built with the ffmpeg libraries, go to Options->Video and as well as checking 'mpeg' you will need to enter a video format for the live and replay streams. Normally on IE you would enter 'asf' for live streams otherwise WMP doesn't start until a whole stream is downloaded (which is never for live streams). You can have a different format for the event replay or leave it blank if you want jpeg streams or stills for replay.

yes i installed ffmpeg and its working and the libs are installed

i did have mpeg selected but unless i choose jpeg under video it doesnt work....?

when i say work i mean it at least trys with a denied message with jpeg and mpeg gets just a blank screen?

now im getting this except i did do the faqs instructions for echoing the memory increase as shown
