I have installed Zone Minder on a server running RH Fedora Core 1 PPC 64 bit. I have 10 Axis 2100 cameras that I am monitoring with ZM. ZM builds and works fine under this configuration. The problem I am having is that my run levels are extremely high. When I start ZM my load average goes from 0.00 to 9.0+. I thought this might have something to do with the comparison scripts, but my run level still climbs over 9 even when I set my cameras to 'monitor only'. Has anyone ever ran ZM on PPC and experienced this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting the high run levels?

Hi Mike,

There is a (now slightly out of date) FAQ on CPU levels here. Most of it should still apply and it should give you an idea of where to start looking at least.
