hi. as i have reported the mpeg problem, i have found the solution.

the problem as i said, is when you have an event which is larger than the number of images, so you cant capture under 0.9 fps or less.

ok, now i am with 1 fps and mpeg is ok.

but i can see the window reporting 1.67 fps, so , when i have an event which has 30 seconds, i get something like 57 frames.

this is bad, because using with many cameras cause the system to get full in the half of time.

is there any way of fix this philip ?

Do you know if this is a limitation of ffmpeg or ZM? In other words if you pass in a set of images to the ffmpeg tool itself but set the frame rate to less than 1fps?

Also do you know if you have the config in Options->Video to add timing to the frames set? If so try switching it off, or vice versa.

hi, i have tried that. nothing helps.

its not an ffmpeg issua, as it still remains even using java with cambozola.

the problem is , when i set ZM to capture at 1 fps, it captures at 1.67, or at 1.14.

so , when using low capture rate, it captures a little faster than you desire.

if i have 10 seconds of event, i need exactly 12 images, (1 for every second, 1 for pre buffer and 1 for post buffer). i have 14, 15...

so wen i have like 5 seconds of events, i get something about 70 images.

so i think that its a ZM issue

Ok, I'm with you now. The problem is not mpeg related any more but just that it captures slightly faster than you want it to, is that correct?

Can you tell me what type of cameras you are using and if they are true video ones are any sharing the same device?

hi phil.

im using Kodo cameras (AV cable). each 4 cameras are using 1 bttv card which has one bt878 processor.

so it has 1 processor shared into 4 inputs.

maybe this is causing that ?
may i fix this ?
