Like many other DVR systems it would be great to have a way to "print" some cameras to a output device in order to havem them displayed in monitors all accross the store or the house.

I have some questions (would be great if anyone knows):
- what kind of devices are supported by linux to do TV-OUT
- is this kernel support direct using v4l?

my best regards,

hi. im actually using this feature.

this IS NOT a feature of ZM or capture card, but Output Video Cards. if you use a Gforce (like me) you are able to send tv images from cameras (like i do), but only in 640x480.

so.. you should be able to use several gforce video cards and put cam 1, 2 and 3 on Gforce1 and cam 4,5 and 6 in other gforce?

How can this be done? Gforce driver or software? It's gforce specific or will it work with other tvout cards?

I am interested in a similar idea. I would like to cycle through the cameras for a set interval (5 seconds) via tv out. Furthermore, I would like to optionally "quad" the output (display the output of four cameras at the same time).

I'm not worried about getting the video to the tv, just getting the preferred output.

This isn't exactly a feature request for ZM, more of an informational request. Does anyone know of software has such features: video cycling, and/or quad video.

You could get a pc with tvout and then use montage to view the 4 cameras you want. If you have more than 4 cameras you can create a user that only has privileges to view those 4 cams then open a montage view.
