Hi,

I have no problems whatsoever with display of video streaming on PC (MS IE) and Mac (Safari), neither single video stream view neither montage.

However, not the same on Linux. I have tried Mozilla 1.6, Firefox 0.8, Opera 7.5, Konqueror (KDE 3.2.2), on SuSE 9.1, with Java 1.4.2 installed. Please note I have cambozolla installed and zms-nhp set instead of pure "zms".

1) Mozilla and other Gecko-based browser sometimes display sometimes do not display video stream properly (broken image icon instead of video).

2) Opear 7.5 do not have this problem, but it do have other - montage is NOT usable. CPU usage jumps to nearly 100% (it seems like Opera have problem running several Java applets at simultaneosly). Additionally, video frames are not positioned correcly and are clipped or interlaced.

3) In the Konqueror video streaming is not being displayed at all, despite Java plugin working.

4) I supposed switching from jpeg to mpeg streaming and using mplyer/xine plug-in would solve this problem. Nope. With Mplayer, there is a huge delay displaying video. Kaffeine mozilla plugin starting, but do not display anything except black rectangle.

Anyone have any suggestion(s)? Thanks in advance.

I have had good results with both mozilla and mozilla-firefox. If you have the java plugin working and set ZM_CAN_STREAM to no (tools tab in options) it will use cambozola. This has been quite dependable for me.

If you use the native mjpeg stream in either, you can restart the stream if it stops by right clicking in the image frame and select "This Frame --> Reload Frame".
