Hi All!!!
I use zm 1.19 monitor mode with one cam. Zm streams video to clients who use Win media Player. I have a problem - a rather large delay - near 5 seconds. I tried to increase bitrate & maxfps parameter at client, and give options -b 150 for ffmpeg in zm config...but it seems to there are bo changes. Next i tried to remove buffering in mediaplayer, but delay still remains... Have you any ideas???

And next question is - why does zmc captures imgs only with ~5 fps??? it seems to me that it is too litlle.... i thought zmc has options to captue img at given rate but zmc hasn't any options.... Can i increase capture rate, and how can i do this??

thank you in advance!!!!

hi,

the 5 seconds latency you get cannot be avoided.
WMP does a 5 secs buffer whatever you do.

you may try to play with WMP options but I don't think there is a way to make it start streaming without its minimum buffer (5 secs)

If you menage to do it let us know!

On the other point, zmc will capture as fast as possible unless you tell it not to. You don't mention what kind of camera you have but if it's a webcam or a video camera sharing a cheap capture card with others then 5fps is probably about par for the course.
