Viewing remote camera locking up IE

Post by l8nite4me »

I have 3 network cameras (2 on the same network as the server, and 1 at a remote site), whenever I view the cameras in Montage or view the remote site camera alone it locks up IE. Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions for how to fix.

Thanks in Advance

I assume you are using Cambozola, is that correct? If you check the task manager does it show IE at 100% or 0%?

I've not heard of Cambozola locking up IE before, do you know what JVM you have installed?

Hey Phil,

Sorry I forgot about this post.

I am using cambozola, I have tried the newest and the one I downloaded from zoneminder.

My cpu utilization shoots up to 100% with ie using everything when I open the montage screen. I am using the jre2 install for Java. It only happens on my laptop, when viewed from another source everything functions perfectly. Not a big issue just a curiosity.

Thanks
John

That happens to me but when viewing the mpeg stream.

After the Winmedia player plugin for IE or mozilla firefox it continues to consume bandwidth but the browser locks. I cannot see any image.

This happens in every browser/computer/platform i've tested.

PS: Is there any other streaming formats other than asf? I tryed to stream using the ffmpeg flag -vodec mpeg4. Is this enough to stream in mpeg4?

best regards,
