Hi all....
I've installed zonealarm without need to have streaming video...so no ffmepg installed at all.
I would like to only see a jpg refreshed on web page.
here I will copy part of my log to try to understand if you could give me an help to solve the not seeing image in the box (with the rights dimendions.)
I'm using a network camera...the same you can see in the example in the screenshots....
The network camera has a directory where you can get the images nothing all....due to this fact I tryed to use an internat http server (the network camera shares the file in the same way),but the problem is the same.
Maybe there is somethin releted with php?
or this some modules in apache?
I'm using fedora core 2 and I solved all the libraries problem the installation creates....

is there anybody who can help me to better understand the differences in the program setup between network cameras and local cameras?!?!?!?

Network cameras are cameras that have an IP address and do not connect directly to the server.

Local cameras are cameras that are directly connected to the server.

It looks like you maybe have two main problem, the first is related to shared memory, check the FAQ to find the answer to that one. The second is expressed by this

This implies that when you set up the network camera source you didn't fill in the ip address or host of the camera. Can you post here that model of camera you used and what settings you defined in ZM for it.

my camera is an AXIS 205...like your sreenshots...
(do you thing zoneminder works if I use a normal apahce web server to share the image?)

I changed the flag for the shared momery....but i still have this error...

do you need other logs?

I think you can ignore the web error log as most of those are just warnings. The MIME/Entity one is a perl module used by zmfilter. The README details how to install that but for now it's not important.

You have another strange error though, can you do

zmu -U<username> -P<password> -q -v -m <id>

where <username> and <password> are for the admin user on your system and <id> is the id number of your monitor. If you don't use authentication then forget the -U and -P parameters. Then post the results here. For my Axis-205 these are some of my settings

hi Phil,
first of all thanks for your work and help....
Software is working now.
I still have some problems with perl in the logs....I've seen in the forum I'm not alone......but never mind....the software anyway works!!!!

Now I'm testing with a webserver where an image is ready to be get from the zoneminder....and now I'm ready to go on and use a real network camera.
I would like to explain where was my problem.... :
THE ONLY ISSUE was reletad with the dimensions of the picture I use in the eb server (ip camera).
If I change the dim of 1 pixel more or less form the real dimensions of the picture....the image CAN'T be seen in the window.
I can suggest you to underline this important aspect in your guides to avoid someone else could misunderstand thinking the Y and X dimentions are only related with the scale of the image!
I say again....the dimentions set need to be the real dimensions of the web camera output!

That's all....I hope to be solver for anybody who meet this problem...
