Hi there
I have used the livecd installation, it autodetect the pico2000 card, and on livetv I can see a bad picture from the cam, but only on port 1.
On your support page it says: Most other BTTV (BT878, BT848) cards, see /usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/bttv/CARDLIST on your system for a list of some of them.
I cannot find that on my machine?
I cannot use Zoneminder to find the picture, it might have something to do with the setup of ZM, but what?
Please help to faultfind!!!

I'm not familiar with the Pico2000 card, but a quick search on the net shows it is BT878 based, so let's assume it should work.

Have you tried the other suggested video diagnosis tools:

1. xawtv - this should be included on the liveCD. from a command window try running "xawtv -device /dev/video0". I am assuming your capture card is "video0". A new window appears showing video capture from your card. If the video doesn't look correct try right clicking on the video window to bring up the Options menu, then play with the "TV Norm" to change the video from PAL to other options.

The other thing you can do with the Options menu is change the Video source from Television to one of the other inputs (in the case of a 4 port card)

All my cameras are PAL, however they don't work out of the box. I set them to PAL-NC in xawtv, which is device format 3 in the monitor source setup screen.

2. zmu - from the command line type "zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v" - the output from this command should help diagnose what the system thinks the card looks like.

Post the results of the above tests and we will try to help further.

i was using that board a lot, it works fine just select the right card on the bttv module option, with 0.7.107 I use the card 77 which is a provideo card that probably have some compatible i2c multiplex code, altough i believe that multiplexing via i2c is only necessary when you use more than 4 channels on a bt8x8 chip it works even on setup using multiple cards. Just dont expect a great performance with image sizes bigger than 320x240 IMMV

good luck.

Ps : My english sucks , and I know it :)
