I suggest to make for events 3 states:
New - new event which yet did not view. It will be possible to select with the filter only such events...
Normal - that already someone viewed. Such events can be deleted automatically after a while.
Archived - long-time storage.
Add new status for events

Hi,
I can see the point of this. I'm not sure what you would consider as when an event is 'viewed' though. When looked at via the web, or when a notification email is sent about the event, perhaps when video is generated? Often I don't look at the events in the web GUI at all, just at the images I get in the notification emails whereas I suspect other people do the opposite.
I will make a note of your suggestion and keep it in mind when making any future changes though.
Cheers,
Phil,

I think, that the events sent on e-mail, ftp, etc. it is possible to consider "vieved". But it is desirable to make it customized.
Such addition will be convenient when there are some security officers who should view periodically events, but have no right them to delete. In this case they will not duplicate operation each other.
