I have Apache and MySQL running on Debian on a Pentium 1 box, but my capture card is on another linux box. I realise I can setup zm with mysql running on seperate host but what about Apache? Is it just a matter of exporting the zm web directories to the capture PC or will it be more invovled?
Many thanks for any help,
Dean

Having read the docs properly, I see it's not really feasible to have the webserver on a seperate host. So will install apache on same box.
But you can still use the other computer...

You can put the MySQL database and even the 'events' directory on another computer if you have a good network connection. I've mounted a share on my Windows 2000 Pro machine once as my event directory; this provided a nice big 20GB partition to store images on. The ZM computer only had a 4GB drive.
Another bonus of putting your events on a Windows PC (ugh): using your favorite video edit software (such as the latest version of VirtualDub), you can open up a ZM image sequence and scroll through it, or even save it as an AVI in whatever format you need.
