The ZoneMinder LiveCD works fantastic. I had a few issues getting the partitions set up correctly, but those were between me and the Mandrake partition tool, and it was just a matter of me misinterpreting the otherwise very clear instructions, so I can't suggest any beneficial changes to that process.
The apache response seems a bit slower than I would expect. I'm going to poke around in the httpd.conf file and see if I can find anything, but nothing obvious has jumped out yet. Perhaps that can be tweaked now that the system has its final real IP address.
