Problem: MPEG buffering is slow and restarts from beginning

Hi,
I've noticed a strange problem on Suse 9.1, ZM 1.9.5., ffmpeg 0.4.8. When streaming is set to mpeg it takes very long, over 10 seconds to show the video.
I've put the /cgi-bin/nph-zms... URL into media player and it works the same. But strange is how the media player shows the buffering progress: it starts from 0 comes for example to 96% and then falls back to 0, comes up to 80 and falls back to 0 and then sudeny starts showing video. I have this problem on all PCs, with different versions of media player, and all machines including ZM are on LAN.
Has anyone experienced this or knows how to help?
