zmu exit status 255

Hello,

I just started to use zoneminder, and after installing it, I checked the application.

BUT the image of the camera on the webpage is 'empty'. Is checked the logfiles, and I saw that zmu -m 0 was crashing with exit code 255.

I checked this forum for causes of this exit code, but nothing could help me.

What I saw is that, if I run:

#> zmu -d 0 -q
=> this works
#> zmu -m 0 -q
=> exits with error code 255

So the camera itselfs seems to work. I suppose this has something to do with the camera configuration in the zoneminder ?
I'm using an USB webcam, and I'm using video0 (0,channel 0)

Can somebody help me?

Try adding a '-v' flag on as well. That might give you some more information.

Adding the -v option has the same results.....nothing is returned from the command line..
zmc is still crashing with error code 255.......and still no images captured.

And there's nothing in /var/log/messages (or equivalent syslog file) to indicate an error?

When you configured your monitor, what settings did you use?
