I'm installing ZM on SUSe 9.2 with PHP 4.3.8 when I go t the weblink I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_start() in /home/peephole/zm.php on line 148

That's very strange and I've never heard of this before. AFAIK session support doesn't have to be compiled into PHP. Can you create a file, say called 'debug.php' and just put

Code: Select all

<?php
phpinfo()
?>
in it then access it and post what you see.

(Actually, this is Robrichards_gnaps' evil twin "Darrell" updating - Rob is running around frantically today and needed an assist)

(this) Problem solved.

Note to SUSE 9.2 users - OOB install of SUSE 9.2 did not install the session extension by default. A quick search for "php4-session" in the SUSE package manager (yast) will take you to the appropriate Extention Module.

shmmax is set by default to 33554432 .

echo 132217728 > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax will set 128 MB shmmax

To set 128 MB shmmax as default just write

Code: Select all

kernel.shmmax = 132217728
into /etc/sysctl.conf
