I set up an authentication based zoneminder after figuring out how to do it, but not everyone can log in. I can from a local computer on same network as the server, using IE, and from a remote location using firefox, but most ppl just get the login page cycling over and over again.
I found some stuff about this regard 1.20.x, and that 1.19.5 worked OK, and it partially does. zoneminder liveCD based installation.
Thanks again!

If I understand correctly you using the Live CD version with 1.19.5 and you try to upgrade to zm 1.20.1? I beleive that The live CD Version of Mandrake (10.0) had issues with the new authentication feature in 1.20.x and no solution has been found yet. Ross is working on a new LiveCD based on Mandrake 10.1 that does work and I'm sure he'll post it as soon as he is finnished. Until that time we just have to wait. Also note that the login for the user and password are case sensitive although I think I remember some discusion that this may have changed recently and would have to search to find the spacifics.
Cheers,
Cordel

Yea thats what I read about 1.20 as well, but I never upgraded to it, still using 1.19.5, and having these problems.
I can login locally (on machine): LiveCD/mandrake
I can login remotely: gentoo linux/firefox
Dad can login: windows XP pro/IE
buddy can login: windows xp pro/firefox
buddy#2 cant login: windows xp home/IE
Buddy #3 cant login: windows xp pro/firefox
buddy#4 cant login: windows xp/unknown
sister cant login: windows xp pro/IE
it goes to "logging in" and right back into the login page.
nothing in the logs at all
